Sr Director, Business Development & Marketing, SKTA Innopartners
Angel began his career in Intel’s Graduate Rotation Program, ultimately landing in the cable modem group followed by the CMOS sensor team. After transitioning to Medtronic’s Microelectronics Center, Angel led the development of the world’s first burst defibrillator and pace maker. Upon completing his MBA, he joined Philips Semiconductor in strategic marketing of an SoC for an Integrated Access Device (IAD), the predecessor to today’s set-top box. Based on the successful launch of the IAD SoC, Angel’s responsibilities increased to leading the broadband group consisting of a Cable Modem SoC, a security co-processor, and a multi-protocol wireless router. Rather than climb a mountain or surf in New Zealand, Angel went to law school after the dot com bubble burst his bubble in tech. Since then, he has gone on to practice corporate law and litigate IP cases at Fenwick and West followed by an effort to build a Materials Division at Applied Materials through M&A and venture investment in specialty electronics materials. Currently, Angel runs the seed fund and Accelerator for SK Telecom Americas investing up to $1M in core technology companies while also providing professional services and office space for one year.
