Our BoardCommNexus is a non-profit organization that is member supported. We rely on the sponsorship of industry companies, along with the participation of individuals from our community, to assist us in helping the San Diego technology community. Our Board of Directors is comprised of representatives from our sponsor companies and industry advisors.

Mr. Derrick Oien serves as Chief Executive Officer and President of ScoreStream, Inc. Mr. Oien serves as the Chief Executive Officer and President of Chumby Industries, Inc. Mr. Oien co-founded InterCasting Corp., in 2004 and serves as its President. He serves as an Advisor to various startups. He provides consulting services to technology companies regarding technology, content, and youth marketing. Mr. Oien is an experienced operations executive with an extensive background in entertainment, media and technology. His industry experience includes digital media, advertising, social media, mobile and wireless enterprise software. He has extensive experience with intellectual property issues associated with Digital Music.
He served as President of Vivendi Universal Net USA, (“VUNet USA”), a subsidiary of Vivendi Universal that operated MP3.com, Inc., Rollingstone.com, eMusic, and Trusonic from December 2001 to April 2003. Prior to Vivendi, he served as Chief Operating Officer of MP3.com. Previously, Mr. Oien has held a variety of positions with companies such as Universal Music Group, Computer Sciences Corporation, BDO Seidman, and Sony Pictures Studios in primarily operations or technology roles. Mr. Oien serves as a Member of the Advisory Board of Eyespot Corp. He served as a Director of socialthing and Trusonic. Mr. Oien was graduated Magna Cum Laude from California State University Los Angeles with a BS Degree in Computer Information Systems.
