We rely on the sponsorship of industry companies, along with the participation of individuals from our community, to assist us in helping the San Diego technology community. Our Board of Directors is comprised of representatives from our sponsor companies and industry advisors.

Dr. Anton Monk

Technology Strategy, Partnerships & Business Development, XCOM Labs, Co-founder, Entropic Communications
Dr. Monk is currently responsible for Technology Strategy, Partnerships & Business Development at XCOM Labs, and is also a technology strategy consultant. He was responsible for new technology and standards activities at Entropic and led the engineering development of Entropic’s coax-based multimedia networking chipset. This technology was standardized by MoCA, the Multimedia over Coax Alliance, and is now the de facto standard for multimedia home networking over coax for Pay TV service providers in the United States. Prior to co-founding Entropic he was involved in the development of cable and satellite integrated circuits at Conexant and ComStream Corporation and was a researcher at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory. He sits on a number of corporate, industry and non-profit boards including the Technical Advisory Boards of the UCSD Electrical Engineering Department and the USD Engineering Department, the EvoNexus Steering Committee and the CONNECT Public Policy Committee. He is also a member of the Board of Directors of Planned Parenthood of the Pacific Southwest. Dr. Monk holds a M.S. in Electrical Engineering from the California Institute of Technology and Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of California, San Diego.
