He previously led the product management team at Viant, an Irvine digital advertising technology and media company acquired by Time Inc. There he led the creation of their advertising cloud suite and the successful relaunch of Myspace in partnership with Justin Timberlake’s creative team. Jason also was a co-founder of Strategic Data Corp (SDC), which was acquired by News Corp. in 2007 and which became the world’s largest digital advertising platform. Hewlett Packard, Intel, and Hitachi have all employed Jason as a strategic consultant.
Jason’s has also been an advisor or investor in the tech startups Sparkbuy (acquired by Google), SimpleGeo (acquired by Urban Airship), Merchant Centric, Signal, Rallyverse, and AdGreetz. Jason’s tech entrepreneurship goes back to elementary school when he both built a popular Bulletin Board System (BBS) – the first kind of online social network albeit using 300-baud modems – and launched his own mail order computer store. Jason is an advisory board member and volunteer for Casas de Luz, a charity which builds homes for working poor families in the Colonia Cumbres neighborhood of Tijuana.
