Mr. Martin J. Colombatto, also known as Marty, serves as a Venture and Industry Partner of Seven Peaks Ventures LLP.
Martin Colombatto is an experienced Semiconductor Industry Executive and former CEO and President of Staccato Communications (now Veebeam Limited), a leading supplier of Ultra Wideband (UWB) silicon and software solutions.
With over 30 years of experience in the semiconductor and electronics industry, it is no surprise that he’s held management positions with some of the nation’s top organizations. Over Mr. Colombatto’s career, he amassed expertise in engineering, product development, sales & marketing, general management, and mergers & acquisitions.
Prior to working at Staccato, Mr. Colombatto was the Vice President and General Manager of Broadcom’s Networking Business Unit. During his tenure, he established and managed a business that generated more than $400 million in revenue over a four-year period. As a corporate officer and member of the executive staff, he led the acquisition of five companies that were integrated into his business unit and formed the technology and product foundation for what became a multi-billion dollar business.
Prior to Broadcom, Colombatto held various management positions at LSI Logic Corporation, Texas Instruments and Reliance Electric.
He currently serves on the Board of Directors for Luxtera Corporation and Clariphy Communications. In 1982, Colombatto earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Electronic Engineering Technology from Cal Poly Pomona, where he currently serves as a member of the Dean of Engineering’s Leadership Board.
