Our Board of Directors is comprised of representatives from our sponsor companies and industry advisors.

Peter J. Preuss

Former Director of Business Development, Brain Corporation
Peter J. Preuss worked to democratize the field of robotics and automation in his role as the Former Director of Business Development at the San Diego based Brain Corporation inc. Peter brought a unique background of engineering and business to his role through his years of experience with different computer division technologies and his MBA education from UCSD. Prior to his work at Brain Corporation, Peter was an Engineer at Qualcomm working in the Vuforia Augmented Reality group where he helped foster the first Developer community, run the first AR competition, and work with manufacturers to support different mobile phones and tablets. Peter gained his initial experience in computer vision at USC in the Interactive Media Division of the School of Cinema Television where he worked to support students and professors in dozens of advanced research projects.
Peter is passionate about education, science, technology, and medical research. His philanthropic roles include vice president of the Preuss Family Foundation, co-chair of the Preuss School Gala, board member at the Ruben H. Fleet Science center, and EvoNexus committee member. Peter’s participation on the EvoNexus committee allows him to participation in the Tech and Biotech startup community where he is also an active investor. Peter has a portfolio of local San Diego based technology investments, most of which are EvoNexus companies.
Peter completed his MBA at UCSD Rady School of Management in 2014 and holds a B.A from the University of Southern California where he studied Psychology, Cinema Television, and Computer Science.
