EvoNexus companies Obrary and AstroPrint were awarded Editor’s Choice ribbons at the Maker Faire in the Bay Area this past weekend!
The Maker Faire is a worldwide show highlighting the world of Makers. This was the 19th anniversary of the Maker Faire and 10th in the Bay Area, and this year’s was “showcasing creative and resourceful people in the areas of science and technology, engineering, food, and arts and crafts.”
Obrary and AstroPrint were two of the 10 recipients of the Editor’s Choice ribbon, given to the best ideas at the show that represent the Maker or “do it yourself” mindset. About 1,200 companies showed at the event, and over 140,000 people attended the Maker Faire.
Obrary offers a collaborative design and commerce platform focused on open product designs intended to be digitally manufactured. Astroprint is a cloud OS for desktop 3D printers that offers a web platform to manage distribution of 3D printable content for the 3D printing industry.
Both AstroPrint and Obrary showed off their ribbons and Obrary even made a special case for it!
