Advancements in Wireless Health: What the Future Holds

February 12, 2013

The Healthcare Communications SIG Presents…

**This event is at capacity! Please arrive early to ensure your seat**

Today’s advanced wireless devices, applications and services have captured the imagination of the public, and the benefits of “always on, always with you” connectivity are becoming increasingly apparent to health care consumers and providers. New technologies are coming down the pipeline at a rapid rate, and are collecting more data than ever before, including biometric data, genomic information, contextual data, environmental data, community health information and beyond. The industry must now make sense of this big data by leveraging analytics and informatics to turn data into decisions, and prove efficacy of clinical data. As more companies leverage these technologies to improve their healthcare services, standards and interoperability, low cost solutions and ease of use will be key for mHealth solutions to see scale and mass adoption.

For this panel, Don Jones, Vice President of Global Strategy and Market Development for Qualcomm Life, Clint McClellan, Senior Director of Strategic Marketing for Qualcomm Life and President and Chairman of the Continua Health Alliance, and Mark Winter, Senior Director, The XPrize Foundation, and overseeing the Qualcomm Tricorder X PRIZE, and the Nokia Sensor Challenge, will discuss what the future of healthcare holds due to the convergence of wireless technologies, mobility, genomics, big data and healthcare information systems.
