Building Successful Start Ups: Lessons from the Trenches from CommNexus on Vimeo.
Along with a growing technology industry here in San Diego has come a plethora of new mobile app developers.  Amongst this ever expanding community are many talented start up companies developing useful and innovative new apps that solve problems we didn’t even realize we had.

From real-time classifieds or finding all the beer on tap in San Diego, to planning impromptu gatherings with friends, it seems that these new mobile technologies are adding an element of convenience to our lives and making it easier and easier to find what we’re looking for.

So how did these companies come up with these solutions?  What was the process like in developing these technologies?  What hurdles did they have to jump to get to where they are at?  How are they competing with all of the other apps out there?  More importantly, what’s the next step to make these apps the next Facebook or Twitter?

Join us on April 17th to hear from three new companies: Antengo, Tap Hunter and Saambaa who are all rooted here in San Diego and in the brand new EvoNexus incubator downtown.  These companies will show off their apps and discuss their experiences both with challenges they did not expect and challenges they have faced and overcome.  We will also hear about where they are at now and where they are going from here.
