We are fortunate to have noted technology journalist Harry McCracken in person who will be discussing the Consumer Electronic Show and what we can expect in 2012.

McCracken is one of this country’s most respected and honored technology journalists. He’s the founder and editor of Technologizer, a popular blog that attracts more than 1.5 million page views from about 425,000 unique visitors each month. He also writes a weekly column for Time Magazine and the Time Magazine blog.

Harry is the former editor-in-chief of PC World Magazine and the PC World blog. He was named to the Top 40 list of media industry movers and shakers. He has received numerous awards, including the ABM’s Timothy White award for editorial integrity, the Jesse H. Neal award for best editorial or signed column, and the Best of the Web award for the top consumer tech blog.

Harry also appears on CBS News, ABC World News Tonight, NPR’s Science Friday, and Fox News’s Gadgets and Games. He has been seen on ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN, MSNBC, NPR, and the BBC.  In addition, he has collaborated with Dateline NBC on an investigation into PC repairs.

Harry McCracken is editor of Technologizer, a site about personal technology which he founded in June, 2008. The site reaches up to 400,000 unique visitors a month and was named as one of PCMag.com’s favorite blogs; McCracken was also named by TechRepublic as the #1 techie to follow on Twitter, and by Kiplinger Personal Finance as the best tech blogger.McCracken is also a weekly columnist for TIME.com and a frequent contributor to TIME’s print edition, as well as a contributing editor for CNET and AllBusiness.com.

Prior to starting Technologizer, McCracken spent more than thirteen years as an editor at PC World, the last four as vice president and editor in chief; he headed the team that was responsible for all content both in print and onlone. In 2008, he received American Business Media’s Jesse H. Neal award for his PC World editorials, as well as the ABM’s Timothy White Award for editorial integrity. MIN named him one of its most intriguing people in 2007, and he made Folio magazine’s Folio:40 list of media movers and shakers in 2008.

McCracken has written for Discover, Family Circle, Macworld, Popular Science, Slate, USA Today, and many other publications, and has appeared as a technology expert on ABC, the BBC, CBS, CNN, the History Channel, NPR, and other television and radio outlets. He also collaborated with Dateline: NBC on a multistate investigation into PC repair.

Louis Kim is currently Vice President of the Advanced Platforms Groups for Hewlett-Packard’s Imaging and Printing business. He is responsible for marketing, design and engineering functions in a group chartered to develop next generation platforms. He has worked in other product categories, including personal computers and handhelds, in US and in Europe. Louis has a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Brown University and an MBA from Yale University.
