Cybersecurity from an HR Perspective

Cybersecurity is comprised of both technology and people. Human behavior plays a key role in cybersecurity, but how much time do organization’s spend on the people side of the cybersecurity equation? Join our interactive discussion on September 24th with cybersecurity experts as they share their unique perspectives and experiences within this domain. They will address the pivotal role of Human Resources in predicting, responding, and dealing with the aftermath of security breaches. Cyber Security Strategist, Intel Security Group
Matthew Rosenquist joined Intel Corp in 1996 and benefits from over 20 years in the field of security. Mr. Rosenquist specializes in security strategy, measuring value, and developing cost effective capabilities and organizations which deliver the optimal level of security. Currently, a cyber-security strategist for the Intel Security Group, he helped in the formation of this industry leading organization which brings together security across hardware, firmware, software and services.
Mr. Rosenquist built and managed Intel’s first global 24×7 Security Operations Center, oversaw several internal platform security products and services, deployed the enterprise intrusion detection program, and was Intel’s first Incident Commander for worldwide IT emergency responses. He has conducted investigations and risk assessments in defense of corporate assets and managed the security playbook for Intel’s strategy planning group, encompassing all security features landing in the PC architecture. Mr. Rosenquist ran security for Intel’s multi-billion dollar mergers and acquisitions activities and justified the security strategy protecting Intel’s global manufacturing capability. His development of the Threat Agent Risk Assessment (TARA) methodology to optimize security, has influenced how organizations view and prioritize risks.
Mr. Rosenquist is very active in the industry, speaks at conferences, consults with industry partners, and has published acclaimed white papers, blogs, and videos on a wide range of information security topics. Managing Director, Security Operations and Analysis, EdgeWave Inc.
Mr Walls is a Navy Captain and Naval Aviator bringing over 28 years of experience in Cyber and Aviation Warfare to his position as Managing Director, Security Operations and Analysis. During his Navy career, Mr Walls successfully completed three command tours, most recently as Commander Task Force 1030/Commanding Officer Navy Information Operations Command Norfolk, where he reported directly to Commander Fleet Cyber Command/U.S. TENTH Fleet. As Commander TF 1030, Mr Walls led one of three Task Forces supporting Commander, Fleet Cyber Command war fighting objectives during a real world cyber operation. He personally directed forces conducting cyber operations across the global Navy cyber domain including all Navy unclassified networks and websites; oversaw development and implementation of the first Website Vulnerability Assessment capability for the U.S. Navy; directed the U.S. Navy’s cadre of sophisticated cyber security trainers and assessors conducting cooperative (Blue Team) and non-cooperative (Red Team) cyber readiness assessments across the global Navy cyber infrastructure; and provided penetration testing support to the U.S. Navy’s Operational Test and Evaluation Force. Mr Walls is a combat veteran of Operations Desert Storm, Iraqi Freedom, and Enduring Freedom. He is a 1986 graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy where he earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Physical Science, and a 1996 graduate of the Naval Postgraduate School where he earned a Master of Science Degree in Operations Research.[/wc_column][/wc_row] [wc_row][wc_column size=”one-fourth” position=”first”]

Senior Forensic Examiner, FBI
Tim Hamon is a Senior Forensic Examiner with the FBI. He has conducted hundreds of computer forensic examinations on crimes ranging from homicide and terrorism to Russian mail-order-bride schemes (and everything in between). He now works with the FBI’s Criminal Cyber squad, supporting the squad’s efforts to investigate cyber-related crimes, such as denial of service attacks, computer intrusions and online identity theft.[/wc_column][/wc_row] [wc_row][wc_column size=”one-fourth” position=”first”]

Brad joined Barney & Barney in 2011 and currently serves as Marketing Executive in the firm’s Executive Liability Practice Group.
