India Trade Mission
November 3, 2005
India has one of the fastest growing economies in the world, with GDP growth in excess of six percent and demand for tens of billions of dollars of equipment and services for the transportation, environmental, healthcare, high-tech, consumer goods and energy sectors. Research, development and production is booming, especially in telecommunications, IT and pharmaceuticals, with the largest number of pharmaceutical plants approved by the USFDA located outside the USA. The rapidly growing middle-class, with disposable income and a preference for US products, already exceeds 100 million.
The San Diego World Trade Center, recognizing these emerging opportunities to increase trade between our region and India, is planning a trade mission to India, November 3 -12, 2005.
Trade mission delegates will visit: Bangalore, the fastest growing city in Asia, to visit high-tech centers and meet appropriate companies; Mumbai, the commercial capital, to be hosted by the World Trade Center with networking and match-making meetings; and to New Delhi, India
