In 2003, Michael set out to build an unmatched team of mobile software experts – with a desire to create a company that could incubate and deliver innovative mobile solutions to the market. A team that was nimble, capable and deeply knowledgeable. A company whose abilities are enhanced by a complementary culture – dedicated, passionate and creative – that mirrored the personality of its founder. Eight years later, Michael continues to drive Abalta’s growth in parallel with the continued adoption of mobile solutions across our society. Michael is responsible for overseeing the strategic direction and executive-level functions of Abalta while maintaining involvement in the delivery of Abalta’s services and solutions. Michael left his mark as consumer GPS technologies were first emerging. Michael was instrumental in launching Honda’ s first GPS system in North America with Alpine Electronics. He then forged new ground at NAVTEQ where he held influential positions – helping to build the value of the business pre-IPO. At InfoGation, Michael took the helm as the COO where he designed and implemented a turn-around strategy that resulted in a successful acquisition by BSQUARE. Mario Proietti is a co-founder and CEO of TechnoCom Corporation/LocationSmart. In his capacity as CEO, Mario has overseen the establishment of TechnoCom as an industry leader in location based services as a supplier of infrastructure to wireless carriers and cloud-based services to enterprises. Mario has spearheaded the creation of the LocationSmart division establishing the company as the operator of the most comprehensive location as a service platform in the industry. Prior to TechnoCom, Mario worked as Director of Advanced Development at AirTouch Teletrac, where he led R&D activities for its ground breaking mobile location services. He also oversaw FCC regulatory initiatives for Teletrac’s use of spectrum for location monitoring services, presenting before offices of the FCC, NTIA, Congress and the White House. Earlier, Mario held leadership positions at GM Hughes Electronics, in the Communications Systems Division of the Ground Systems Group, working on a number of first of their kind wireless and location systems using spread spectrum technology. Mario held supervisory and operations positions at Consolidated Edison and American Express prior to joining Hughes. Mario obtained his M.S.E.E. from the University of Southern California and B.S.E.E. from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. He holds several patents related to wireless location methods and systems. Mario serves on the Editorial Advisory Board of GPS World Magazine and was founding chairman of the Wireless Network Issues Committee of the E9-1-1 Institute.

Linda Senigaglia brings a fresh perspective to the complexities of location based services and telematics. She is an accomplished executive with expertise from serving in key business development, product marketing, product management, and sales positions with leading companies in the ecosystem and value chain, such as Nokia, Magellan, TeleNav, iGo™ , and Navigation Solutions, a wholly owned subsidiary of Hertz. Linda utilizes her understanding of location based services, telematics, consumer electronics, and competitive market intelligence to develop strategic business partnerships, and create and execute successful growth strategies for Hertz corporate accounts. Linda serves the Connected Vehicle Trade Association Ex-Officio as the Director of Member Marketing; CommNexus as a Co-chair of the Location Based Services Special Interest Group, and the Intelligent Vehicle Systems Committee of SAE.

Maureen Backe brings a fresh understanding of the complexities of LBS with experience at numerous technology companies — content provider, wireless operators, mobile broadband OEM, and software company. She is an accomplished marketing executive with expertise in a broad range of product marketing, business development, and partner and developer relations roles. At AT&T she is responsible for Enterprise Developer Evangelism and manages the Product Trial Environment (http://www.pte.att.com) which includes location offerings. Prior she was with the leading provider of location and navigation services, TomTom, and managed Developer Alliances globally in the licensing business unit. Maureen evangelized map offerings within the LBS Ecosystem to key partners and developers. She doubled the membership in the developer portal and expanded the LBS Innovator Series globally, programs that awarded close to $1 million in cash and prizes to innovative location-enhanced applications. Maureen also initiated and led successful marketing programs with strategic developer communities such as AT&T, Motorola, Qualcomm, and BlackBerry. In addition to AT&T, she has worked at TomTom, SS8 Networks, Leap Wireless, and Novatel Wireless. She also has designed and instructed numerous Internet technology classes at UCLA Extension through its Engineering and IT department. Maureen was awarded a fellowship to University of Southern California where she received her MSEE specializing in data communications and multimedia. She also holds an MBA from Drexel University and Bachelor of Engineering from Villanova University.
