MIT Enterprise Forum San Diego
September 10, 2014
Join us in a special member only, opinion-slinging dialogue between technology thought leaders, moderated in true Zeitgeist style by Forbes contributor, speaker and entrepreneur, Mark Fidelman, who is adept at bringing out the diversity in the panelists’ opinions. With thousands of unfilled jobs in computer sciences, software and IT, you could interpret that San Diego is a technology hotbed. However, the more accurate analysis is that San Diego is not successful at attracting technologists and that’s a BIG problem for employers. While most of us in San Diego’s business community recognize that we’re a U.S. leader in technology, the rest of the world still looks at us as a tourist destination and “America’s Finest City.” But that was so yesterday! Even the City and the Chamber don’t use that phrase anymore. How do we rebrand San Diego to attract more technologists and is that enough?
