NG911: Next Generation Indoor Location for Public Safety & Consumers
June 18, 2013
New Frontiers, Going Up & Beyond into the Deepest Reaches of INDOORS with LTE.
FCC with NG911 has been evolving location positioning to new realms for Public Safety and consumers needs to address the precise location needs for both Outdoors, as well as Indoors, in dense urban harsh environments where we spent 75% of our times with the growing use of LTE. Soon, VOIP-LTE will place challenges on existing and new positioning methods.
The Distinguished Panel will introduce the very latest update and future direction in emerging public safety, first responders and consumers needs for accurate precise location both indoors and outdoors with low cost large wide scale deployments, the need for height measure, the use of smart-phones and cloud services. Raytheon Corp involved in nationwide FirstNet 700MHz D block LTE public safety network will open the talk with an overview. TechnoCom Corp will give an update on the goal of FCC CSRIC Location test bed- Indoor & Outdoor Technology Phase 1 testing related to accuracy and coverage in their March 2013 test report on candidate LBS technologies performances that can meet the FCC’s new sub-50m accuracy. Finally, 7Layers will conclude with an overview of one specific Location Standard, OMA -LOC SUPL’s evolution to SUPL3, architecture and testing.
Join us on June 18th, 2013 for an executive panel of Californian technology leaders discussing location positioning technologies, challenges and solutions for the new LTE and NG911 world.
