Security SIG: Ransomware
November 8, 2016
The issue of ransomware has become a profitable black market business. Ransomware developers distribute their code to unsuspecting users through seemingly legitimate apps and locks users out of their data until they pay a ransom to decrypt the contents of their hard drives. The malware-as-a-service industry could potentially be worth millions, by some estimates. What is a unique way you’ve addressed this concern? What is important to include in your incident response plan?
