Please join us for a presentation on various types of business models being used for Mobile Apps followed by a panel discussion and Q&A.
The panel of some of the most successful Mobile Software entrepreneurs in San Diego will discuss various business models and how they make money. These successful company founders will share some of the thinking and heartache that went into deciding on their business model, and share some of the dos and don’ts.

Adam has also worked with large brands, including Universal Music Group, Disney, and Fox television networks, to help them expand distribution of their content through mobile. Additionally, Adam is Chief Rocker and co-founder of Rock My World, a San Diego-based digital music service for active people. RockMyRun, a service of Rock My World, provides music mixes, designed by popular, professional DJ’s, to runners around the globe. The music mixes are available across a variety of genres, lengths and paces, to help runners have more fun and perform better during their workouts and races. Devang Thakkar is an entrepreneurial executive with over 15 years of global experience in building and launching software and technology solutions. He has led and launched several technology businesses in various industries including Storage, Imaging, Media and Entertainment, Advertising and Business Processes. Devang has had several leadership roles in Eastman Kodak Company (Rochester and Hollywood), Anacomp and IBM. He expertise is in ‘bringing innovative products to life’ by leading organizations from ‘ideation’ to market launch including: developing strategy, analyzing market trends, customer requirements, product planning, business planning, market planning, leading cross functional teams, managing outsourcing (offshore and onshore), strategic partnerships, P&L management, strategic sales and business development. Devang is currently a principal consultant at DCM Consulting, which offers Product Marketing/Management, Business Development, Outsourcing and Offshore management services. He also serves as a Business Advisor for Connect Springboard and StartUp Circle, helping startup companies with mentoring and coaching to get funded and launched.
