This CommNexus Social Media SIG event will discuss the hottest new technologies disrupting the way small and medium sized business can take advantage of social media. Featuring two EvoNexus companies: SOCI and HouseCall! Find new ways to analyze your current social media strategies, see what works and what doesn’t, and then amplify. Find what types of content strategies help increase social and brand awareness while still converting new users.

Afif Khoury
Founder/Chief Executive Officer, SOCI, Inc.

Afif has spent the last decade involved in startups and venture capital investments. First as a business attorney and advisor, then as an investor and entrepreneur. Afif has been involved in every facet of growing and selling businesses. Afif established deep roots in media and marketing as the founder of FanGate Media, a white-glove perveyor of digital social engagement tools to high-end brands and agencies. From there Afif and his team set out to disrupt the social media marketing space to deliver social success to businesses of all sizes while creating new revenue streams for service providers.

Roland Ligtenberg
Co-Founder and VP Business Development, HouseCall

Roland is a technologist whose passions encompass all things mobile, startups, and disruptive ideas accelerated by technology. A long time serial entrepreneur, he recently co-founded HouseCall – the app for your house. HouseCall helps homeowners find and book trusted neighborhood service professionals at the push of a button. He is also an advisor at Ice House, a global mobile software development agency, where he helps Fortune 500 and startup companies with strategy, product,  and agile mobile development. Previously he was at Qualcomm where he was a founding member of Qualcomm Labs, an internal incubator focused on leading innovation in new wireless product development. There he was responsible for mobile product & business development for Gimbal SDK, a context awareness platform for iOS & Android developers. Roland is always open to interesting opportunities and enjoys mentoring startups and entrepreneurs by helping them create value through constant innovation.

Angela Hill is founder of Incitrio, a global integrated marketing agency located in San Diego. With over 20 years of branding, design, and marketing experience, Angela works with clients to build and grow strong, innovative brands that outperform their competition and stand the test of time. She has spoken at international conferences, is an active Vistage speaker, and a former adjunct design professor at SDSU. She currently teaches a video and email marketing course at USD.
