The Future of 3D Printing

August 28, 2014

The Consumer Electronics SIG presents…

The Future of 3D Printing

Industry pundits and technology futurists are telling us that the reality of 3D technology is just around the corner. Recently, even Home Depot announced it was going to make consumer 3D printers available in its stores.  That said, there are many questions surrounding 3D printing related to cost, purpose, benefits, and even environmental impact.

Join us on August 28th when the CommNexus Consumer Electronics SIG presents an expert panel on The Future of 3D Printing.

Among the questions we will be tackling head-on:

•    What is the future for consumer 3D printing?
•    Will 3D printing be the next disruptive technology in a smart home?
•    What will the market for consumer 3D printers be worth by 2018?
•    What are the prospects for 3D scanners over the next five years?
•    When will 3D printing at home reach mainstream adoption?
•    What are the different market challenges and hurdles for mass market adoption?
•    How will material cost and hardware cost change over the next five years?
•    What other business models will be employed to monetize 3D printing at home?
