The Consumer Electronics SIG Presents…
Plan to attend the CommNexus Headliner Consumer Electronics SIG event on January 17th here in San Diego. It will surely be one of our most exciting ever. We are fortunate to have noted technology journalist Harry McCracken in person who will be discussing the Consumer Electronic Show and what we can expect in 2012.
McCracken is one of this country’s most respected and honored technology journalists. He’s the founder and editor of Technologizer, a popular blog that attracts more than 1.5 million page views from about 425,000 unique visitors each month. He also writes a weekly column for Time Magazine and the Time Magazine blog.
Harry is the former editor-in-chief of PC World Magazine and the PC World blog. He was named to the Top 40 list of media industry movers and shakers. He has received numerous awards, including the ABM’s Timothy White award for editorial integrity, the Jesse H. Neal award for best editorial or signed column, and the Best of the Web award for the top consumer tech blog.
Harry also appears on CBS News, ABC World News Tonight, NPR’s Science Friday, and Fox News’s Gadgets and Games. He has been seen on ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN, MSNBC, NPR, and the BBC. In addition, he has collaborated with Dateline NBC on an investigation into PC repairs.
We expect to sell out for this event quickly so reserve your spot today!
Prior to starting Technologizer, McCracken spent more than thirteen years as an editor at PC World, the last four as vice president and editor in chief; he headed the team that was responsible for all content both in print and onlone. In 2008, he received American Business Media’s Jesse H. Neal award for his PC World editorials, as well as the ABM’s Timothy White Award for editorial integrity. MIN named him one of its most intriguing people in 2007, and he made Folio magazine’s Folio:40 list of media movers and shakers in 2008.
McCracken has written for Discover, Family Circle, Macworld, Popular Science, Slate, USA Today, and many other publications, and has appeared as a technology expert on ABC, the BBC, CBS, CNN, the History Channel, NPR, and other television and radio outlets. He also collaborated with Dateline: NBC on a multistate investigation into PC repair.
