Title: Program Intern

Location: On-site, San Mateo, California

Overview

The Program Intern position will report directly the FinTech Program & Marketing Manager and will work out of the San Mateo office. Office projects include facilities related tasks, assisting with scheduling/prepping meetings, and handling administrative processes.  Event coordination will include event organization and preparation for the EvoNexus incubator programs and events, as well as working on various marketing projects and more. 

EvoNexus is a not-for-profit 501(c)6 organization founded in 2008, by Rory Moore and Admiral Walter Davis. Headquartered in San Diego, the unique 2-year incubation program attracts applications from early-stage FinTech, MedTech, CommTech and Embedded Tech ventures seeking to benefit from EvoNexus’ strategic advisors and capital connections. The EvoNexus Silicon Valley FinTech Incubator launched in 2019 and has since supported several exciting early-stage ventures. EvoNexus is financially backed by our corporate partners who are some of the largest multinational technology corporations in the world. Job Purpose

Assists with maintaining facility operations and provide daily assistance to EvoNexus staff and incubator companies. 

Job Duties (include but are not limited to):

  • General administrative & facilities support
    • Maintain office supplies and equipment: responsible for ordering, stocking, organization, and inventory
    • Onboard new companies and employees with all facilities paperwork
    • General administrative assistance: maintenance & facilities requests, prepare materials for meetings, set up meeting rooms, distribute notices to employees
    • Assisting in volunteer management and coordination
  • Assist Program Manager with EvoNexus Program
    • Administrative assistance with EvoNexus application process 
    • Assistance with all meetings, including planning, set-up, and clean-up
    • Startup company progress and tracking, monitor requests, etc.
  • Event Coordination
    • Manages onsite event execution including set up, registration, and break down
    • Assist with marketing for events
    • Tracks attendance, statistics, and outcomes from events

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in event planning, administration, and communications preferred with a track record of excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, follows deadlines, juggles multiple tasks, takes initiative, and can manage own workload
  • Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills 
  • Experience in the following programs is helpful but not a requirement: WordPress, Hubspot, Airtable, Canva, Eventbrite, MS Office
  • Must have reliable transportation 
  • Available to work part time or full time
  • Specific days and hours are flexible within our normal office schedule of 9:00-5:00 Mon.-Fri. but sometimes also include attending morning and evening events
