The 2018 Special Olympics USA Games and Aira have forged a partnership with the goal of enhancing accessibility for spectators attending this year’s games in Seattle. From July 1 through to July 6, Aira will provide free Aira Access at all venues hosting the USA Games.
This means that any person who is blind or low vision will be able to use Aira’s service via smartphone for free all week to enhance how they explore, engage, and experience the 2018 USA Games.
Local leaders and the general public are encouraged to visit the Sustainability Booth in the Fan Zone at Husky Stadium North Plaza where Aira will be demonstrating its technology and services Monday, July 2nd.
Throughout the week, people who are blind or low vision can download the Aira app and use it to connect to a remotely-located, sighted agent dedicated to providing access to objective visual information. Agents can provide detailed descriptions of surroundings and activities, including all the action of the games, as well as select events taking place in and around the city.
On request, Aira agents can also access websites, digital maps, rideshare apps, and other helpful resources on your behalf at the click of a button.
