Bose Corporation this week launched their newest audio product, Sleepbuds. This product was a joint-development with EvoNexus graduate company Hush, a venture they acquired in 2017. Sleepbuds are tiny earbuds that have built-in noise-masking technology designed to help everyone have a better night sleep.
Hush joined EvoNexus San Diego in 2014 when it was just 3 recent UC San Diego engineering undergraduates. While they were in the incubator, Hush secured early seed funding, received engineering and business mentoring, were provided with Class A office and lab space, and were introduced to potential strategic partners. EvoNexus mentor and founder of Qualcomm’s Venture Group, Prashant Kantak, was Hush’s steadfast mentor during the process. Bose, a corporate partner and board member of EvoNexus, connected with Hush over their similar vision of bringing a product to the market that helps overcome the sleep disturbance crisis.
