San Diego-based health care software company Independa Inc. has closed $1.85 million of its $2.25 million Series B financing round. This portion of the round was led by San Diego-based life sciences venture capital firm City Hill Ventures. Independa has developed a cloud-based service that helps families remotely keep tabs on older relatives. City Hill provided most of Independa’s $5 million Series A financing earlier this year. — SDBJ Staff Report
