At last year’s University of San Diego venture competition, then-seniors Morgan Schwanke and Jordan Jadallah won $15,000 to fund his online service aimed at taking the mystery out of the off-campus housing hunt for college students.
They then went on to raise nearly $1 million and hire a team of employees for OnMyBlock.
This Thursday, the competition heats up again for startup-minded USD students as they and a group of their peers from Mexico compete for a total of $100,000 in cash and support at the university’s V2, or Venture Vetting, entrepreneurial competition.
