(December 4, 2015, Times of San Diego) EvoNexus, a business incubator that has helped launch well over 100 companies, announced Thursday the 13 companies in its latest class of technology startups.
With the 13 additions, a total of 56 startups are working out of EvoNexus’ three locations in Southern California. Over 180 startups applied in this round. Here’s a breakdown of the new companies:
Downtown San Diego
AttackIQ — A continuous security testing platform to challenge existing host, network and cloud infrastructures to help organizations safely perform security validation.
CourseKey — A higher education software management platform that lets students use smart phones or tablets to check-in for attendance, answer and ask questions, chat with other students and more.
Englue — LeadCrunch by Englue provides high precision business-to-business leads using artificial intelligence.
Fanpics — Proprietary camera technology for venues to capture fans’ reaction to the big moments at the event. These images are used to produce a personalized story for each fan, accessible immediately via the Fanpics app.
Motoroso: A market network for the $36 billion automotive and power sports aftermarkets. The network brings together brands, publishers, shops and enthusiasts.
Skysense: Fully automated drone-charging infrastructure similar to the charging networks for electric cars.
La Jolla
CleverPet — Intelligent robots that engage with dogs while their humans aren’t home, turning lonely time into learning time.
Grolltex — Advanced materials and equipment using graphene and operating with exclusive rights on a portfolio of patents issued to UC San Diego.
Solenica — Robots that improve the interior environment of your home. Their first is Lucy, a solar-powered robot that brings natural sunlight indoors without installation.
Irvine
Evasyst — A command center for competitive gaming.
Kuddly — An app that gives pet owners 24/7 access to verified veterinarians around the world.
Marvel Coupon — A unique mobile coupon app with the potential to revolutionize retail marketing.
Cloudspot — Software created to be the fastest and most customizable way for professional photographers to deliver, sell and share their photos.
EvoNexus helps entrepreneurs turn their ideas into commercially viable companies. Companies involved have raised over $686 million in funding and acquisitions since the incubator’s founding in 2009.
