PHOENIX (Sept. 16, 2013)—Total Transit announced today the purchase of GoFastCab, a San Diego-based mobile app development company, for an undisclosed sum. As a result, a separate multimillion dollar investment launches 2PointB, a high-tech best-of-breed mobile app suite and platform currently in development that is designed to empower high-performing cab operators nationwide to connect with passengers the way customers expect with today’s technology.
Josh Komenda and Jeremy Schrage, co-founders of GoFastCab, will be principals and managers of 2PointB and will leverage their extensive experience in software development, wireless technology and ground transportation. They will be joined by Craig Hughes and Michael Pinckard—Total Transit CEO/founder and president, respectively—who together have more than 30 years’ experience in transportation management.
“We’ve been working with Josh and Jeremy for years and continue to be impressed with the level of expertise and strategy that goes into everything they do,” said Pinckard. “This next chapter for Total Transit couldn’t come at a better time in our industry, where mobile technology has played a significant and ever-changing role in recent months. We’re ready to shake things up a little bit.”
GoFastCab is a successful graduate of the EvoNexus Incubator (a CommNexus program) and was hosted in its downtown San Diego location.
