CFO, Aira Tech Corp
Carrie McQueen is Chief Financial Officer of Aira Tech Corp. Aira is a service that uses artificial intelligence and augmented reality to connect people to highly-trained, remotely-located agents. At the touch of a button, Aira delivers instant access to information, enhancing everyday efficiency, engagement, and independence. Whether the user is a person who is blind or low vision, an older adult, or a sighted individual, Aira provides access to information in ways that augment human capabilities like never before. Aira is an EvoNexus graduate from 2016, and recently closed a new round of funding with notable VCs across health tech, human performance, and AI-focused funds: Lux Capital, ARCH Venture Partners, Arboretum Ventures, JAZZ Venture Partners, and other strategic partnerships.
With Qualcomm and Websense in her early background, Ms. McQueen enjoys, and has remained committed to high-growth companies, creating successful exits as a finance and operations executive and advisor. Ms. McQueen is focused on profitability and investor outcomes, and has been a highly-effective CFO and strong advocate of excellent corporate governance, ethics and accountability. Her previous experience spans industries in tech, wireless, biotech, and retail, and with funding models from startup through venture, private equity, and public offerings. She thrives in the role of discovering and building scalable business models from great technologies.
In addition to her role as a tech CFO, she serves on the Board of Forest Home, a Christian retreat in the San Bernardino Mountains, where her family has vacationed for several years. She and her husband also support several national and local organizations including Project One Forty Three, their church, and and local business and investor groups.
Ms. McQueen earned her bachelor’s degree from University of California, San Diego, and her MBA from San Diego State University. Ms. McQueen is also a Certified Management Accountant.
