Vice President of Business Development, Fairway Technologies
Erich Hasselmann is the Vice President of Business Development at Fairway Technologies. He was the former Global Alliance Director for Symantec’s Joint Initiative with Accenture. In this role, he managed the company-wide joint strategy for Accenture and drives execution of the strategic partnership program, developing new growth opportunities for Symantec and Accenture across all solution sets. Erich joined Symantec in 2012 as the Senior Endpoint and Mobility Specialist for the Southwest, in association with Symantec’s acquisition of Nukona.
Prior to joining Symantec Erich was Sprint Nextel’s Senior Client Executive for The Walt Disney Company, American Express, and Toyota North America responsible for over $50M of annual revenue. His digital enablement efforts at Disney helped the theme park and media giant achieve the Dow Jones Sustainability Index Sustainability Leader designation in 2012. He also oversaw management of Sprint’s largest Custom Network Solution deployment at the Disney theme parks, on a scale larger than all but 6 of the 10 largest cities in the North America.
Before Sprint Erich was President and CEO of Cantina Apparel/Girls Love Dirt! which garnered several innovative product awards from Outdoor Retailer and Action Sports Retailer for their innovative use of performance fabrics and manufacturing and design techniques before the trend became mainstream. Erich credits Cantina with all of the scars and scrapes he carries forward in his critical business analysis.
Earlier in his career, Erich was a Director of Marketing and Product Management in the environmental industry, working with Mobil, Shell, BP and other petroleum companies to develop the products that strive to keep our water and air clean. Erich began his career as a Naval Officer, acting as Navigator on the USS Long Beach during it’s final round the world cruise with the USS Enterprise.
Erich holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science degree from the University of California San Diego and a Master of Arts in International Affairs from The George Washington University in Washington, DC. He lives in San Diego with his wife Susan, their three daughters, 4 cats and a French bulldog named Mabel that chews up everything. When he’s not hiding out in his backyard watching lacrosse, football or baseball on TV you’ll find him in a gym somewhere watching his youngest play volleyball. Erich loves golf, skiing and traveling, which is a good thing because his current role has him doing plenty of the latter.
