Co-Founder & Fmr. CEO, ID Analytics
Bruce Hansen brings three decades of experience creating and building companies across the burgeoning big data analytics industry.
Currently, Hansen is a board member at publicly-traded companies Verisk Analytics (NASDAQ: VRSK), Performant Financial Corporation (NASDAQ: PFMT) and MITEK Systems Inc. (NASDAQ: MITK), along with privately-held Zyme Solutions. He is also an active member of the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD).
Within the San Diego community, Hansen is an angel investor, a board member at the San Diego Venture Group (800-member association promoting startup formation/funding), and a benefactor of the Harvard Alumni Association of San Diego.
From 2002 to 2012, Hansen was co-founder, chairman and CEO at ID Analytics. He raised $45 million in venture financing and built ID Analytics from concept stage into a high-growth, profitable firm serving 280 enterprises and 5 million consumers. In 2012, Hansen orchestrated the sale of the company to LifeLock for approximately $200 million.
Prior to ID Analytics, Hansen was president at HNC Software Inc. (NASDAQ: HNCS), a $1 billion+ global provider of analytic software in financial services, telecom and healthcare. HNC was acquired by FICO in 2002. Prior, Hansen was CEO at CASA Inc., a privately-held advanced analytics company acquired by HNC. He has also held executive roles at CitiGroup, ADP, and JP Morgan Chase.
In 2007, Hansen was named Ernst & Young’s Entrepreneur of the Year (San Diego) and one of E&Y’s four national finalists for U.S. Entrepreneur of the Year. In 1998, as a result of his work at CASA he was named the Los Alamos National Laboratory’s Entrepreneur of the Year.
Hansen holds an B.A. in economics from Harvard University and an MBA in finance from The University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business.
