Karthik leads global ~$1B Alaris infusion business, including capital equipment, interoperability, and analytics offerings. During his 14 years at Becton Dickinson, Karthik has held many positions ranging from Manager of Advanced Concept Development all the way to Vice President. He is an experienced leader of large global healthcare businesses. Karthik is comfortable with conceptualizing, launching, and scaling “new to the world” innovation, as well as managing large and mature businesses. Before working at BD, Karthik held the position of Research Scientist at PocketSonics, Inc. He was the first full-time employee of the company, and he helped lead R&D and played a key role in designing and building PocketSonics’s device. Karthik also co-invented a patent on novel ultrasound signal processing during this time.

Karthik received his MBA in General Management from Harvard’s Business School. He also holds a PhD from the University of Virginia in Biomedical Engineering. It was here that he performed his independent dissertation research on ultrasound imaging systems.
