Steve is an accomplished business development executive with an in-depth understanding of processes, relationships, and vocabularies in the Life Sciences industry that are essential for the business success of industry service providers. He has lengthy track record of identifying market and product opportunities, establishing go-to-market strategies and tactics, and leading initiatives, all resulting in significant company growth.
Steve formerly lead the Life Sciences Business Development focus for Brex where he drives growth in the company’s customer base both directly and through partnerships with numerous life science trade associations, investors, incubators/accelerators, and other industry channels.
Previously Steve served as Vice President of Business Development for 2 other Life Science industry service providers – ShareVault, an industry leader in secure document sharing systems (data rooms/deal rooms), and American Laboratory Trading, the largest supplier of refurbished laboratory equipment in the industry.
Prior to his focus on the Life Sciences industry, Steve was an entrepreneur (twice) and senior executive at a variety of high technology companies, and involved in 2 successful exits. At Rent One Online (vacation rental property management systems – acquired by AIG), he was Vice President of Products. Steve was also a co-founder and CEO of Enable Solutions (online travel search services for small & midsize businesses), was co-founder and CEO of InCharge, (interactive, online support services for individuals and families dealing with life-challenging illness).
Earlier in his career, Steve was the Vice President of Research, Design, and Development at The Learning Company (educational software company – acquired by SoftKey), and Vice President of Product Development for Sierra On-Line (entertainment and educational games).
Steve began his career at Hewlett-Packard where he held various engineering and management positions. Steve holds a B.S. and M.S.E.E. from Cornell University.
