As the Chief Technology Officer at Alat – a transformative company backed by $100B of capital by Public Investment Fund (PIF) – Nandhu Nandhakumar led innovation and technology strategy across its various business units comprising Smart Devices, Smart Appliances, Smart Health, Smart Buildings, Advanced Industrials, Next Gen Infrastructure, and Semiconductors. He believes strongly in the value of cross-industry collaboration to make meaningful and impactful technology contributions. He has founded and served in leadership positions of various industry consortia and global technology standards development organizations, and has led partnerships with technology innovators (startups, VCs, national labs, etc.). Previously, at LG Electronics, Nandhu led initiatives in digital media, robotics, and AI. As the founding head of LG’s Technology Center of America, he established the North American Corporate Venture Capital effort, and led investments in startups, and collaborations with university research labs. As member of University Faculty, Nandhu has taught graduate and undergraduate courses, and supervised PhD and post-doctoral research in computer vision, AI, robotics, & video processing – funded by NASA, DARPA, NSF, USAF, etc.
