EvoNexus 2025 Portfolio Venture Funding on Track for Record-Breaking Year

“When Vice Admiral Walter Davis and I founded EvoNexus in 2010, our initial goal was first to see if the concept of a pro-bono tech incubator would even work let alone attract venture capital,” said Rory Moore, EvoNexus Co-Founder & CEO. “We had no idea of the types of companies that would seek to be in our program or if corporate partners we hoped to surround them with would even care. The success of EvoNexus in all of these areas has exceeded our wildest imagination. The venture capital the portfolio continues to attract both in quality and quantity continues to grow even in tough times.”
EvoNexus is California’s leading nonprofit technology startup incubator located in San Diego and Irvine. The EvoNexus incubator 2-year program combined with individualized milestone-based structure and 1 on 1 mentoring fosters a path from post-ideation to minimum viable product and long-term sustainability. Over 85% of EvoNexus portfolio companies have secured venture funding from over 450+ VCs.
EvoNexus has successfully incubated over 270 startups. Since the incubator’s formation in 2010, EvoNexus companies have achieved over $4.6B in funding and outcomes, $6B in pre-exit valuation, and 55 acquisitions. EvoNexus is supported by corporate partners, including some of the largest multinational corporations in the world.

EvoNexus is proud of the fact that 55 startups from their incubator have been acquired. The most recent acquisition was a San Diego startup focused on radar enhancements for automotive and drone use cases called Sensoride being acquired by EvoNexus corporate sponsor, Murata.
“Sensoride was admitted to EvoNexus as a two man team in 2022,” said Moore in a LinkedIn post. “During that time, the startup focused on developing software algorithms that would significantly enhance the performance of radar sensors in a variety of use cases. Throughout their development, they received hands-on mentoring, collaboration, strategic connections, and facilities support from our unique non-profit incubator. I’m extremely pleased that long-time corporate partner Murata will be the new home of Sensoride.”
