Dr. Hill is a global-minded, skilled entrepreneur and authentic leader, inspiring and enabling the creation of patient-centered, medical device innovations from discovery to scale. With almost thirty years of experience at Medtronic, plc in research and technology, product development, clinical research and regulatory, global and leadership roles, he continues his passion to share knowledge, improve decision-making and accelerate the cycle of innovation. He currently consults with investors, business executives, and academic researchers; is a member of several scientific advisory boards; advises incubators/accelerators, coaches life science start-ups, teaches about Innovation/Entrepreneurship, and is an angel investor. Dr. Hill has BSEs [BME/EE], BS [Math] from Duke University; MS and PhD [BME] from Case Western Reserve University; and MBA from University of St. Thomas. He is a Medtronic Technical and Bakken Fellow, a Fellow of the American Institute of Medical and Biological Engineering, awarded the Distinguished Engineering Alumni award from Duke University, awarded the Medtronic Patent of Distinction Award, and recipient of the Biomedical Engineering Society and Wallace H Coulter lifetime achievement award in Healthcare Innovation. Dr. Hill enjoys traveling, food and cultures, skiing and scuba diving, storytelling, and enjoying his homes in San Diego, CA; Dania Beach, FL and Barcelona, ES.
