Medical Officer, Adventist Health; Former Chief Medical Officer, Sharp Memorial Hospital
Tom Lawrie serves as Medical Officer for Sierra Vista Regional Medical Center and Twin Cities Community Hospital within Adventist Health’s Central Coast region. In this role, he works with physicians, clinical teams, and hospital leaders to strengthen systems of care, advance clinical quality, and foster a culture that supports healthcare professionals as both caregivers and individuals. Previously, Dr. Thomas Lawrie was a Sharp-affiliated Pulmonary disease specialist in San Diego and is the Chief Medical Officer of Sharp Memorial Hospital. He received his medical degree from University of Colorado School of Medicine and has been in practice for 20 years. As part of his partnership with Chest Medicine and Critical Care Medical Group, he provides critical care services at Sharp Memorial, Chula Vista, and Coronado Hospitals. Dr. Lawrie has received Guardian Angel recognitions from grateful patients and families throughout the course of his career.
