Jordan Neysmith is a product development leader with deep expertise bringing to market pioneering technology solutions in the medical device and scientific equipment industries. He has a strong track record building teams, capabilities, processes and culture that deliver winning products on accelerated timelines, particularly in start-up and turn-around environments.
As VP of Engineering at Element Biosciences, he led successful development of the AVITI sequencing platform, AVITI24 multiomics instrument and associated consumable kits. While Sr. Director of Development & Engineering at Bruker Nano Surfaces, he drove strategy and delivery of an atomic force microscope (AFM) product portfolio spanning materials research through semiconductor metrology. During his time as Director of Product Innovation at Carl Zeiss Meditec the innovative CLARUS 500 widefield fundus camera, PLEX Elite 9000 swept-source OCT and ARI Network for collaborative research were all launched. Earlier in his career Jordan led the trailblazing development of a “bionic eye” neuromodulation implant at Second Sight Medical Products.
He has an MS from Georgia Tech in microelectronics packaging, a BS from Yale in mechanical engineering and holds over 60 patents spanning material science, advanced imaging, instrumentation and industrial design.
