Laxmi Rayapudi currently serves as the Vice President, Head of Software Products at Qualcomm, Inc. He brings expertise in product management, business strategy, and engineering leadership spread across Qualcomm automotive and mobile/compute business units to this role. He has rich product management experience leading large scale accounts, P&L responsibility, and driving new biz strategy across various Automotive segments. Laxmi has 25 years of experience leading Android, BSP/Core Drivers, Multimedia, and Modem technology teams across wide range of Qualcomm Snapdragon MSMs, MDMs, IoT, and Compute products.
He has been instrumental in enabling customers, helping the organization transition from 2G -> 3G -> 4G to most recently to 5G. Laxmi has been serving the OEM community (300+ licensees), platform ecosystem, and the ISV community helping the organizations transform to building more intelligent man-machine devices, enabling them to achieve faster TTM with minimal recurring costs. He has expertise in software scalability & product leverage to bootstrap adjacent market opportunities across consumer IoT, industrial IoT & Compute business units.
He has participated in several executive panel meetings on various subjects (evolution of IoT, technology transition leading to the industrial revolution, organizational transformations, change management, customer experience & retention). Laxmi has also served as a mentor to the budding entrepreneurs selected by the central govt. of India & Qualcomm joint venture with NASCOMM for two years.
