Mark Hellinger brings intense entrepreneurial spirit and real world experience to startups and early stage ventures, with the ability to make connections and see unique go-to-market opportunities. Highly skilled at the intersection of marketing, products and customer success, he has built many successful relationships with employees, customers and partners at multiple technology companies. Mark has recently helped several accelerator and incubator startup companies bring new products to market, generate early sales and set up scalable operations.

He began his career as a software engineer after graduating from the MIT, and has been involved in Enterprise/B2B software sales, operations and product development at both public and venture-backed companies. His experience with SaaS marketing and customer success enables him to deliver highly effective consulting and advisory services in the following areas:

Mark was Chief Executive Officer at Xyleme, a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) company in the Human Capital Management market. Originally a provider of custom application solutions, he transitioned the business into a software company for the corporate and higher education markets, and led Xyleme to through a transition to a modern SaaS platform reaching $10M in revenue over four years. He built a multi-cultural distributed team, with sales, customer success and development resources located throughout North America and Europe. Mark was the leader in all aspects of the business from product design to sales and customer success during the startup phase, and managed a team of talented professionals as the company matured.

He started his career developing Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software for manufacturing, distribution and service organizations. Mark became Vice President, Operations and eventually President for Interactive Group as it grew from $3M to $56M in revenue, more than 200 employees, and executed multiple acquisitions and a successful IPO. The company is now part of Epicor, a leader in the mid-market ERP space.

Mark has recently worked with several start-ups as a mentor and advisor, as well as interim roles as COO, CRO and CMO. Recently, he has helped Human Capital Management startup re-evaluate their market opportunity, pivot to a new revenue model, and achieve product market fit. He has worked with another focused on Corporate Social Responsibility, refining the inbound and outbound marketing processes, gathering customer requirements, and coaching the CEO.
