Takakazu and his team drive early stage investments in start-ups across US, Europe and Japan building strategic partnerships for Nitto Denko and it’s clients. Takakazu is business leader and innovation expert with over 20 years of experience in business sectors and new business development. Takakazu began his career at Ishida Co. Ltd as sales & marketing for US weighing and packing industry in 2003 and joined Nitto Denko Corporation in 2007.
Earlier in his career at Nitto Denko Corporation, he launched the new factory in Czech Republic and worked in China to operate the manufacturing site for optical films. He led the global water treatment membrane business and was engaged in creating the new business in climate tech. He took on various roles within Nitto Denko Group including General Manager of Global Business Strategy, General Manager of New Business Development and etc. He became President of Nitto Innovations in 2026 and with global business operation experiences at Nitto Denko Corporation, Takakazu has been evolving Nitto Denko Corporation’s investments into start ups coupled with direct investments and M&A. He holds an MBA from SHIZENKAN (Tokyo, Japan) famous for it’s innovative thinking and its design school approach.
