MarketLink a.k.a. High-Tech Speed Dating:

Marketlink is a FREE program that pairs local companies with multinational corporations hoping to identify and license new technologies. MarketLink brings parties of mutual interest together by orchestrating an event that will offer selected companies the opportunity to present to technology executives from a visiting MarketLink partner corporation in a personalized 1-on-1 session. There are no barriers to entry – anyone can apply – and no bias – the MarketLink partner corporation will directly review and judge your application. <more>

Who Will Be Attending From LG:

Ehtisham Rabbani joined the LG family as vice president of product strategy and marketing for LG Electronics MobileComm U.S.A., Inc. in 2007.  Rabbani has responsibility for the overall mobile phone brand strategy.  He leads the consumer and trade marketing, consumer understanding, upstream product development and product strategy teams.  Rabbani also serves as a corporate spokesperson. With over 20 years of global brand management and leadership experience, Rabbani is helping foster LG’s position at the top of the U.S. CDMA market and extend the company’s presence in the GSM space.  Rabbani’s marketing track record spans a wide range of industries including consumer goods, electronic entertainment and healthcare. Rabbani began his career at Procter & Gamble where he spent 12 years in multiple marketing positioning managing top brands such as Charmin, Bounty, Pampers, Always, Luvs and Tide. Most recently, Rabbani led marketing and brand development departments at Mars, Inc., and Activision, delivering record sales volume and profit for brands under his purview. Rabbani received a bachelor’s of science degree in Computer Science from the University of Iowa and Master of Business Administration from The Anderson School at UCLA.

Warren Naugler joined LG’s handset division in 2004 and currently leads its Market Intelligence and Strategy efforts for the U.S. Market. With over 18 years in the wireless industry, he brings a wide array of experiences to his current position. Warren spent 11 years with AirTouch Cellular/Verizon Wireless in areas of increasing scope and responsibility including Business Operations, Customer Service, Marketing, Business Development, Market Research and Product Development. Warren also spent over 4 years in Investment Banking working on M&A activity within the wireless sector as Director of Business Planning for Sterling Business Group, a boutique investment banking firm. Warren received a bachelor’s of arts degree in Business Administration/Marketing from Point Loma Nazarene University in San Diego.

There are up to 16 spots and 4 standby spots available for 45 minute presentation meetings with LG MobileComm USA & LG Electronics. Applicants will be notified on a rolling basis if accepted, with the deadline for final notification of acceptance on September 2, 2008.
