Team

Jinyun Zhu, SVP and GM of Cloud/IT, ZTE Corporation
Mr. Zhu Jinyun has been Senior Vice President of ZTE Corportion since 2009. Mr. Zhu is also general Manager of Cloud Computing and IT Products Operations since the beginning of 2013. He joined ZTE Corporation in 1998 and was engaged in the R&D and Management of CDMA products. From 2000 to 2008, he was Head of the CDMA Hardware Development Department, General Project Manager for various products under the CDMA Division and WCDMA products. From 2009 to 2012, he was General Manager of Sales Division IV (North America and Europe). Mr. Zhu has many years of experience in the telecommunications industry and over 13 years of management experience. Mr. Zhu graduated from Harbin Engineering University in 1998 with a master’s degree in engineering, specializing in communications and electronic systems.

Lixin Cheng, SVP, ZTE Corporation and CEO, ZTE (USA) Inc.
Mr. Cheng Lixin currently serves as Senior Vice President of ZTE Corporation and CEO of ZTE (USA), Inc. He joined ZTE in June 2010 and started as President of North America Region of ZTE Corporation and CEO of ZTE (USA), Inc. Cheng has more than 20 years of experience in the telecommunications industry with expertise in the areas of sales, marketing, R&D management, supply chain management, M&A, and executive management in join ventures, start-ups and public companies. He has extensive business experience and a network that spans 57 countries around the world. Before moving to the United States in 2001, Cheng held the position of Vice President of Sales and Supply at Ericsson Panda Ltd. where he increased annual sales tenfold to $1.6 billion and localized the supply chain in China, all within a three year timeframe. From September 2001 to January 2004, Cheng served as Director at Ericsson Wireless Inc. in San Diego, California where he was responsible for developing Ericsson’s CDMA business in various international markets. Cheng then joined Axesstel Inc. as President where he increased the start-up’s sales from $4 million to over $95 million in less than two years, playing a critical role in Axesstel’s successful public listing in 2005 on the American Stock Exchange. Cheng funded ALA Group, Inc. in late 2006, providing consulting services to technology companies wanting to increase their penetration in the U.S., and Asia markets.

Zhengzhi Hou, VP of Handset Division, ZTE Corporation
Mr. Hou Zhengzhi is Vice President of Handset Division, ZTE Corporation. His responsibility is to develop partnerships in the internet industry and to promote the ZTE brand. He is also in charge of several subsidiaries of ZTE Corporation, such as ZTE Mobile Telecom Co. Ltd., ZTE Joygor and ZTE WeLink. Mr. Hou joined ZTE Corporation in 1990s. He has taken various leadership roles in the areas of sales, marketing, product development and managements. In 2002, Mr. Hou cofounded ZTE Mobile Telecom (MT) and served as President. ZTE MT has grown to $600 million in global revenues. Mr. Hou also founded ZTE Joygor and ZTE WeLink, to address the movile internet and M2M markets respectively. Mr. Hou received his Bachelor’s degree from the Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications.

Zhenge Sun, VP of Strategy Planning, ZTE Corporation
Mr. Sun Zhenge (George) is Vice President of ZTE Corporation. He is in charge of Strategy Planning for ZTE Corporation, responsible for the company’s strategic planning, technical marketing, strategic cooperation in developed markets, standardization activities, and basic research on internet and platform. Prior to that he was the CEO of ZTE (USA), Inc. Sun received his master’s and doctoral degrees from North Polytechnics University, Xi’an, China. He then continued as a postdoctoral researcher at the Chinese Academy of Sciences.

Ming Xu, VP of Enterprise Solutions, ZTE Corporation
Mr. Xu Ming is Vice President of Enterprise/Government Solutions since 2012. He is responsible for solutions marketing of government and enterprise solutions business. Prior to this role, Mr. Xu was CTO of the region of MEA and India. He was responsible for technical sales and marketing, business analysis and negotiations. During his two-year term, he positioned the MEA and India regions as the fastest growing overseas business unit of ZTE in terms of income growth. In 2007, Xu was Vice President of overseas marketing for ZTE wireless products and solutions. Xu joined ZTE Corporation in 1999 with a focus on R&D of CDMA system. He has acquired multiple patents and led the overseas marketing of CDMA products.

Ping Lu, Dean of Cloud/IT R&R Institute, ZTE Corporation
Mr. Lu Ping is the Dean of the Cloud/IT R&D Institute, ZTE Corporation, since 2008. He is in charge of product development and new technology research in cloud computing, service/application software, multimedia devices, M2M gateway and additional products related to cloud computing and information technology prodcuts at ZTE. He joined ZTE in 1996 and served as the General Manager of T10 and WDSS products, Technical leader for GoTa PTT system, SMS, MMS, WAP gateway, LBS products and solutions. Lu received his Masters Degree in Automatic Control and Application from Southeast University, China, in 1995.

Zhenjiang Dong, Deputy Dean R&D Institute, ZTE Corporation
Mr. Dong Zhenjiang is the Deputy Dean of Cloud/IT R&D Institute, ZTE Corporation. He is in charge of product planning and architecture design of cloud computing and new technology reasearch in areas such as cloud computing, multimedia, Mobile Internet and M2M gateway. He is also responsible for promoting EPR application and Technical Standards, and advocating cooperation with research institutes such as universities and colleges. He joined ZTE in 1996 and served in a variety of roles. He led R&D efforts in areas such as digital voice switch, IN network, call center, SMS/MMS, WAP gateway, LBS, SDP and IPTV. His current focus is on cloud computing. Since 2006, he has been team leader of service/application group. Dong received his master’s degree from Harbin Institute of Technology and majored in electromagnetic and microwave.
