Mr. YoungWoo Lee is Vice President at Samsung Electronics in charge of the Technology Alliance Group in Corporate Technology Operations (CTO). His responsibilities include seeding next-generation technologies and incubating new businesses through technology sourcing, strategic venture investments, and technology intelligence gathering. Previously, he was the head of Technology Outsourcing Center in the US. Before that, he held various senior management positions related to outsourcing and partnership strategies in Samsung Electronics’ Telecommunication Network Division, heading up its Advanced Mobile Strategy Group, Overseas Outsourcing Group, and Purchasing Group.Mr. Lee has a Masters degree in Technology Management from KyungPook National University and BA in Economics from Busan National University in Korea.
Mr. Dong-Su Kim
Senior Manager, Technology Alliance Group

Dong-Su Kim is a senior manager at Samsung Electronics’ Technology Alliance Group. He is currently involved in technology sourcing and strategic venture investment in startup companies with future disruptive technologies. He was previously in R&D planning group within Samsung’s Telecom R&D center. Before that, he was a technical leader at Samsung’s Fiber Optics Business Unit, where he developed optical components for communications systems.Dong-Su received his B.S. in Applied Physics from the California Institute of Technology in 1991. He received a M.A. and a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Princeton University in 1993 and 1997, respectively.
Mr. Brian Kang
Managing Director
Samsung Ventures America

Brian Kang is a Managing Director of Samsung Ventures and makes investments in the telecommunications and digital media sector. Brian led Samsung Ventures’ investments in Beceem Communications, Fortemedia, Gracenote, PicoChip, Radioframe Networks, Strix Systems, Starent Networks, Teknovus, and Xponent. Prior to joining Samsung Ventures, Brian worked as a Business Development Manager at Samsung Electronics’ Telecommunications System Division, building numerous business partnerships for the Division, including those with Qualcomm, Starent Networks, and Metawave.Brian holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the State University of New York at Buffalo, MS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Washington at Seattle, and an MBA from the University of Texas at Austin.

Applicants will be notified on a rolling basis if accepted, with the deadline for final notification of acceptance on October 26, 2007.
