Smart Grid- exploration around how T-Mobile can participate and extract value from the $64B smart grid beyond the obvious approaches of smart metering and enabling communications

Who from T-Mobile will be participating:
Michael Goo
Director, Strategic Development & Investments (SD&I)
Michael leads T-Mobile USA’s Strategic Development & Investments group. This newly formed team has the corporate objective of identifying and developing new, large revenue streams for T-Mobile in whitespaces and adjacent markets. Before SD&I, Michael led T-Mobile’s New Business Development team, which under his direction negotiated over 150 relationships and strategic partnerships for T-Mobile including partners such as Google (G1/Android), Yahoo!, and MySpace. Michael has also led the Corporate Development team and Roaming and MVNO businesses during his 11 years at T-Mobile. He holds a B.S. in Economics from the Wharton School of Business from The University of Pennsylvania and an M.S. in Management from the MIT Sloan School of Management.
Puneet Tandon
Senior Manager, Strategic Development & Investments (SD&I)
Puneet Tandon leads the Venture Development team within SD&I and was a founding member of T-Mobile’s Business Development Team. Venture Development is chartered to source and build an external innovation pipeline of new products and services from the entrepreneur and venture community for eventual commercialization. In his prior role within Business Development, Puneet negotiated and closed key strategic partnerships for T-Mobile with innovators including Facebook, Snapfish, Microsoft, Sony, and AOL. Previously, Puneet held operating, investing, and product management roles at Bose Corporation, TD Capital Ventures, and Genuity. He holds a B.S. in Entrepreneurship from Babson College and an M.B.A. from The University of Chicago Graduate School of Business.
